I considered this route of capping. But I was finding not doing justice to the topic on which I was writing. So, to meet the needs of subscribers I started producing short 1-minute videos: Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Let's see how it goes. Quite bullish on the notes feature as well.

This crosses my mind too. I have resolved to capping most essays at around 1200 words, with many capped at 900.
I think substack notes is going to push the platform to favor shorter pieces.

That's a good idea, I toyed with the idea of a YT channel...but I dislike YT, so that didn't last long.
